Fancy a well earned cuppa and a slice of cake; why not join us for The Big Workplace Meeting, on Tuesday 9th February

Have you ever been asked, “what do trade unions do…” ?

The Trades Union Congress (TUC) have declared next week, 8-14th February,
as loveunions week.  The aim is to raise awareness about the role of trade unions, not just in the workplace but across society and how important it is to join and get involved.

We’ve teamed up with UNISON, Unite and The University of Manchester Students Union (UMSU) and will be holding our own event from 11.30am in Humanities Bridgeford Street.  We’ll have information stalls, freebies, tea, coffee and cake from 11.30-12.15 in the foyer, followed by The Big Workplace Meeting from 12.15-1.00pm, in the Cordingley Lecture Theatre.  We’re very pleased to welcome Kevin Nelson from UNISON, as guest speaker.

We hope you can come along and if you have colleagues who haven’t joined the union, then please invite them along too.

Look forward to seeing you on Tuesday 9th February, from 11.30am, in Humanities, Bridgeford Street,
building no 35 on the campus map:
